It has been a long and painful nine months for bears despite the repeated heroics of their team in Europe, well the Europa League anyway.

Last summer was full of joy as Mister Gerrard strengthened the squad for the Champions League and the Treble while they tried to keep a straight face over the never-ending panto across the city that now included Angeball as Celtic sold off their best players to avoid going into administration.

Just as Mister King had predicted in 2018 they would fall like a pack of cards.

Reality first showed its face with Jon Dahl Tomasson ended the Champions League dream, before that Dundee United had shown the power of opposing fans by terrifying James Tavernier into his first league defeat in over a year.

When Aston Villa came calling the signs were ominous, the team was labouring with Joh Lundstram and Juninho Bakuna failing to make an impact.

Celtic won the League Cup, with eight matches left to play they are three points clear in the SPFL as the Pack of Cards nightmare scenario returns closer to home for deluded bears. Amad Diallo and Aaron Ramsey are of course still adjusting to the demands of Scottish football.
