What is the burning news issue in Scottish football this morning?

Is it from the post-split fixtures, is it the plight of Aberdeen and Hibs in the bottom half of the Premiership or is it something relating to the weekend Scottish Cup semi finals featuring two city derbies?

None of the above according to BBC Scotland who believe that Sam Johnstone could be Ibrox bound this summer, when his West Brom contract expires.

It seems that the state broadcaster are expecting a free agent to turn down offers from the EPL and Championship to commit the next stage of his career to the sinking ship at Ibrox.

With that line of thinking Connor Goldson will be signing a new contract but as the state broadcaster knows Steve Davis, Scott Arfield, Leon Balogun and Allan McGregor will all be out of contract next month. Barely a peep about a new contract has emerged.

Should the unlikely happen and Johnstone earns a dream move to Ibrox it will almost certainly spell the end of the road for goalkeeping legend Greegsy- who can expect an offer to join Steven Thompson, Charlie Adam, Richard Forster and Kenny Miller on the Sportscene rota.

The Sportscene, rotate so terribly predictable, out of the Big Blue House and into the Good old Beeb.jobs for the good Ol’ Boys.
