Celtic are rumoured to be showing interest in Phil Jones according to an agent turned scout.
Peter Wallace has flooded Twitter with Celtic rumours over the last couple of days with the Manchester United defender the most fanciful yet.
With a year still to run on his Manchester United deal Jones is unlikely to be in a rush to move elsewhere unless his lucrative contract is honoured.
Wallace seems to be something of a mystery character. With under 1,000 followers on Twitter since joining five months ago he hasn’t much of a track record on anything.
According to his Twitter bio he used to work as an agent with Pathway Sports, strangely there is no mention of him on the Pathway website.
Wallace claims to have been involved in the transfer of Osaze Urhoghide from Sheffield Wednesday to Celtic last July, Transfermarket credits Every Aspect Sports Management as the defender’s agency.
Linkedin also fails to provide a credible profile for Dundee-based Wallace, now acting as a scout it is unclear who he is scouting for.
