After walking out on Alloa Athletic in mid-season Barry Ferguson has questioned whether the Celtic squad has the bottle to bounce back from losing in the semi-final of the Scottish Cup.

Following relegation from The Championship last season Alloa were expected to be among the front runners for promotion but after winning 10 of 34 matches in charge Ferguson walked away after being knocked out of the Scottish Cup by Celtic.

Defeat at Hampden was Celtic’s first domestic loss since September, a run of form that has built up a six point lead in the SPFL title race going into the five match post-split fixtures.

Looking at the weekend fixtures, Ferguson told the Daily Record:

Rangers can’t look any further than Fir Park on Saturday. They need to win that one then sit back and see if Celtic can handle it.

Who knows? Sunday might have taken more out of them than even they realise. There could even be an element of self doubt creeping into their own minds. Are they getting tired? Are they running out of gas?

We’ll only find out the answers when that whistle goes on Sunday afternoon but it could be about to get very interesting.

Sunday in Dingwall, like every match will be a test of ability and character for Ange Postecoglou’s squad.

In December they went to that venue without Giorgos Giakoumakis, Kyogo Furuhashi and Jota who will all be involved on Sunday as well as January signings such as Matt O’Riley and Daizen Maeda.

Since being brought together Postecoglou’s squad has been doubted and questioned but their six point lead and back-to-back wins in the Glasgow Derby suggested that they have the resolve to see through the five remaining matches, three of which will be played at Celtic Park.

Let’s just get the 3 points in the bag against County and the bigoted klub and their fans and pundits can choke on their own vomit.
On the Motherwell game how good it would be for them to drop points there be that a draw or a defeat that would be their season ended there and then, after all the bitching to get dates changed for the game.

A few weeks ago they managed to handle the pressure no team should have to put up with in a cesspit of bile where one employee had his head split open and other objects targeted at the celtic players. They came away with the points in a 2-1 victory.bazzas no the brightest yet scotlands shame give him a platform to show his bias.
