There was one very significant word missing as Nicola Sturgeon put on her frown and condemned the acts of violence at Sunday’s Glasgow derby.
The First Minister managed to crack a joke about being an Ayr United fan but like so many in authority there is a an eight letter word that they find difficult to mention when they are apportioning blame.
It stars with an R and ends in angers.
Yesterday broken glass was thrown at a Celtic goalkeeper, a physiotherapist had his head split by a glass bottle. An outfield player had a container/glass/object thrown at him as he took a corner.
There were 700 Celtic fans inside Ibrox yesterday, none of the incidents above came from their section of the ground.
Everyone else inside Ibrox was either a Season Ticket holder or bought tickets through the My Gers membership scheme. The club has bank details for all of them.
After the match there was no comment from the home club, the SFA and SPFL.
Equally shameful is the fact that the First Minister for Scotland wouldn’t mention by name the fans that caused yesterday’s incidents that featured on the news UK-wide. Scotland’s Shame isn’t confined to Ibrox.
Douglas Ross, Murdo Fraser and Anas Sarwar seem to have fallen silent.
? “It’s mindless, thuggish behaviour.”

Any chance you could actually report the facts of where the missiles were thrown from or is there a fear you’ll alienate your demographic?

Wrote this properly for you “Numerous missiles including glass bottles thrown by Rangers fans throughout the Glasgow derby yet again, this time causing severe injury to a professional in the course of his employment. The SPFL must close this stadium until they learn to behave.”

Once again wee nippy sweetie face can’t call out sevco as the guilty ones for yesterday’s disgraceful scenes.
The thing is she thinks by not calling them out she will get their votes when it matters, she couldn’t be any further from the truth they hate her and her party and what they stand for.
On another issue war has broken out on FF with fellow onion bears fighting and bitching with each other for who they want in control of their klub.
Some want King back and the rest including Duggie 5 chins out and out now.
Some have given up the season already by saying they are looking forward to the complete rebuild in the summer, though where the money comes from to do this is the stumbling block.
Poor Duggie…he’s ploughed millions of his own cash into that car crash of a club to keep the lights on and still they want him out cos its not enough.
Hell mend them, the end is nigh…
If I threw an empty booze bottle the day from my employers window and burst some guys head open, I would be out of a job, up in court, and my employers being asked hard questions about why I was allowed that container into my workplace.
Why is that cesspit held to a different standard?
These mongrels don’t call out their own, and if they did they could look forward to some serious intimidation/abuse.
What a sad and backward little country this is. Mind you it’s the country that exported hillbillys and the founders of the kkk. Scotlands shame.
I agree with almost every word…except that the word beginning with R has seven letters, not eight.
That’s some non-denominational level counting there Joe, are you seeking employment as an Ayebrokes accountant?
