David Tanner has applied the classic deflection tactics as he avoids the multiple attacks on Celtic players and staff at Ibrox on Sunday.

Rather than call for action over glasses and bottles being thrown from all areas of the stadium with a physiotherapist needing stitches to a head wound the former Sky Sports anchor has opted to share his anger about alcohol and cocaine consumption inside football stadiums.

No particular stadium or set of supporters are named alongside an image of the alcohol bottles collected at Ibrox.

Football fans in general are called out- when questioned about the sectarian nature of one set of supporters Tanner dug deeper into the well of denial.

Tanner he has the right name because that’s about all he is worth TRAMP.

  • Justshatered says:

It’s always a “Old Firm” issue when it’s The Rangers causing problems but the media have no problem naming and shaming any other club in the country.
You would have thought the incidents in George Square last year would have been a defining moment in the evolution of Scotland but unfortunately that was not the case.
All media and politicians are back to their lazy stereotypes that do nothing to address the serious problems one club is causing our sport.

      Top notch comment.

The issue is beyond football but Civic Scotland are terrified to confront it.
Unless it is addressed head on it will lead to escalation and retaliation.
If the victims, the targets of this vile antiquated hatred and bigotry, are not protected by Police Scotland and have little faith in the Scottish legal system dealing properly with the offenders then it will not come as a surprise if they feel the need to defend themselves.
It is long overdue for the Celtic Board to make a public statement distancing themselves from the O@@ F@@@ branding and confirm the legally established fact that The Rangers are a new company and that they consider a new Club. No Holding Company, engine room subsidiary. A fully Incorporated Club/Company was Liquidated in 2012.
Put the onus on Ibrox. Put the onus on the SMSM to defend this nonsense.
If the Media persist with this charade then we should all start bombarding the Regulators, TV & Press, on the basis that they are pedalling a lie and are colluding in the act of Fraud and or obtaining money under false pretences. Get it finally to the Courts, in England preferably.

It has GOT TO STOP. Or Scotland will never move on with this cancer festering in Society.

KERCHING! All the Celtic board can hear is the jingling and pinging of the tills.
Our club are every bit as bad if not worse by staying silent on the matter,in fact I would say they are encouraging it.

  • John mcghee says:

Tanner ur just as bad as the sevco fans ya little horrible scumbag of a man if that was celtic fans you would mention the celtic fans ur just a rat rats and a mason arsehole..

  • Joe 1888 says:

They know it’s only one teams supporter’s always them rotten to the core

  • John S says:

They bought the bottles of alcohol, drank them and chucked them at people to cause injury. Contrast the ‘game’ at Ibrox with the Japanese, Australian, American leagues where whole families can go to football matches and go home intact. Shame on the Governing Body if they don’t make a severe example of that club. They’ve only been in the league a few years and have caused mayhem.

  • Jack says:

It’s hard to break those ties but don’t you think what all football supporters in Scotland believe those ties were broke 2012 you and ur club are in denial ur club as we know it cease to excesses as a club due to the debt to gov and more could not be paid then sevco took up shares but old co still owe millions not Murray steel no one called a team Murray metals it was rangers

  • Jack says:

Tanner once apologised to viewers for celtic supporters singing a nation anthem don’t see much of him wonder why
