The Lisbon Lions have topped a two day poll to find the greatest football team of all time.Â
The BBC poll relied heavily on previous European Cup winners with Jock Stein’s side breaking the southern European stranglehold when they beat Inter Milan 2-1 in the 1967 final.Â
Liverpool, Manchester United, Barcelona and Real Madrid all had teams nominated in the poll but despite a Scottish winner BBC Scotland have kept the result away from their website pages.Â
The poll closed at 5pm, since then BBC Scotland have reported on the new contract for Steve Davis alongside features relating to the Scotland v Ukraine match tomorrow night.Â
Leading the way on the homepage is The Craig Levein column which will be of limited interest, in terms of international football his legacy will be fielding a Scotland side without a forward for a match against the Czech Republic.Â
Both the Daily Record and Scottish Sun have reported on the latest award for the Lisbon Lions but for whatever reason BBC Scotland have opted out of reporting on an in-house poll.Â

Only idiots pay for a licence which allows you to watch a screen filling you with propaganda and lies every day. Watching TV is a complete waste of time. It is the proverbial opiate of the masses.
The BBC Scotland football news and coverage used to be a bit of a “knowing raised eyebrows” standing joke kind of thing, but over the last few years it’s gotten seriously, unashamedly biased and skewed in it’s output.
The only time I watch Sportscene, and I know it’s childish schadenfreude, is to see the ex Rangers EBT pundits faces when the Raynjurz International Football Club (Sevco Scotland) lose a game.
They are a terrible corporation, a law unto themselves with carte blanche to do as they please. But the hilarious thing is we don’t even need them! They can be a blue washed fan club all they want and I couldn’t care less.
They’re just alienating a huge portion of the population. The fact that The Record published this, and the BBC didn’t, tells you everything you need to know!! ? ?
