Nick Walsh will referee Celtic for the fourth time this season when the hoops take on Dundee United at Tannadice.

A point will be good enough for Ange Postecoglou’s side to claim the SPFL Premiership title and set off scenes of celebrations across Scotland and beyond.

Walsh was in charge of a bruising encounter against St Johnstone earlier in the season, questioned about that performance and the frequency of Bonny Madden appointments Celtic chairman Ian Bankier told the club AGM that he had deep concerns about refereeing issues.

In his previous Celtic matches Walsh has been in charge of wins in the SPFL and League Cup against St Johnstone plus the 3-1 victory over Livingston at the start of March.

Alan Muir will referee Saturday’s match between Celtic and Motherwell, a week later Walsh will bee the fourth official at the Scottish Cup Foal at Hampden, last season he refereed the Hibs v St Johnstone final.

SHOW ME AN HONEST REFEREE AND I WILL SHOW YOU A LIAR.

  • Michael mcCann says:

When Celtic finish the league as Champions they must address the whole situation regarding referees, despite VAR being introduced it is this current crop of people that will implement it.

As Chris Sutton has said many of these people don’t know the rules of the game. While others who everyone knows who they support carrying cheating Celtic at every turn. Celtic are the biggest club in Scotland and carry a lot of weight and influence and can call on top legal advisers if need be. Sometimes Celtic are playing against 14 people and any observation of these games will show that.

The Celtic board are not only the employers of the players and training staff they also have a duty of care regarding what happens to its staff. Between barbaric attacks on Celtic players on the pitch to objects thrown at its training staff. We have a new manager, stand up Celtic board and at least equal his and the players bravery when they are playing. Do all you can to be their voice and protect them. whatever it takes

Bankier has and will do nothing about refs, they probably are his mates down the lodge.

  • Hugh Burns says:

I am hitting 77, and side I started going to Paradise at 4 years old, I always heard my father and his pal ,always talk about referees!! So nothing has changed ,and it is time Celtic stood up to them publicly!!

But as we all know, the Scottish press has a lot to answer for!.. They see what’s going on. And they are all so afraid, of saying anything in case hey are thrown out of their lodges, orange and free mason.!! I have heard the Celtic board do complain, but we need too shout it from the rooftops. Not from under the eaves!! So come on the board, do.

Not leave it till we get beat in some final, shout while we are winning.!!!! We and everyone knows what’s going on, but as Mr Stein always said, put the ball in the net, often!!!! Watch this midden tonight, and that is what Walsh is,and the school he is the PT teacher at ,sevco has first pick of the footballers who show promise.

But if we go back to last week’s votes in NI, when fair play is restored, other people do win, others who cheated for years, will now not play ball n a democratic vote.!! Is it a mirror image at ipox?? Hail Hail
