Kevin N’Doram is the latest player linked with a move to Celtic as the transfer window prepares to officially open.

The midfielder has just suffered relegation with Metz and is expected to move on rather than drop down to Lique 2.

With Nir Bitton and Tom Rogic moving on Celtic are expected to bring in a midfielder even though they signed Matt O’Riley, Reo Hatate and Yosuke Ideguchi during the January transfer window.

French website Homme du match report:

Relegated to Ligue 2 with FC Metz, Kévin N’Doram should not play in the lower tier next season. The midfielder could indeed join Scotland this summer and allow the Metz club to slim down.

Celtic is indeed interested in the arrival of the former Monegasque whose contract with the Grenats runs until 2024. The Scottish club should have to pay a sum of between 2 and 3 million euros for a player often injured these last months.

N’Doram’s stats are nothing to get excited over, last season he only started 16 Ligue 1 matches and was substitute in more than half of them.

At the age of 26 he does seem to fit the preferred age bracket of Ange Postecoglou who brought in four players from the J-League at a similar age as well as Josip Juranovic and Giorgos Giakoumakis.

Without the minefield of Champions League qualifiers Postecoglou can plan ahead with some certainty as he looks to step things up in his second season at Celtic.

As well as Bitton and Rogic Celtic have also lost Scott Brown, Ryan Christie and Olivier Ntcham from the midfield options of 12 months ago.
