The Political Editor of the Glasgow/Evening Times was unaware that Celtic fans were celebrating in the city yesterday.Â
Glasgow’s political patch isn’t the most extensive but football content fills up a fair amount of pages, in print and digitally for Stewart Paterson’s employer.Â
With the moonhowlers on the dark side of the city desperate to draw O** F*** comparisons to the Tier 4 carnage that they inflicted around George Square Paterson’s tweets were all of the justification that they needed.Â
Such was the scale of the devastation that the reporters camera couldn’t contain it all. What he did tweet was some littler and some broken glass, unfortunately a common sight in most UK cities on a Saturday or Sunday morning.Â
Any comparisons with smashed benches, trashed flower beds and damage statues would require the sort of stretch that converts foundation in 2012 into a proud 150 year history.Â
This week in Seville should provide a few live stories of carnage to keep Paterson’s colleagues very busy- with German and Spanish outlets providing plenty of content to work on. Â
Saturday’s Scottish Cup Final could also see areas of the city getting messy.
Glasgow’s city centre has been left in a total state this morning. Broken glass, cans rubbish all over the place. It’s worse than my pics can show. pic.twitter.com/PrC9u2iDm4

Some Olympic level conclusion jumping on here re my post about litter and broken glass in city centre. I didn’t say who was responsible because I don’t know. Is it any worse than any other Sunday? I don’t know. 1/3

I have tweeted and written about litter regularly. I don’t care who wins the Scottish premiership, I don’t care who wins the Europa League. I care about the state of my city. Put litter in a in or take it home with you 2/3

If you want to make it all about Celtic and Rangers carry on. But leave me out of it. I am not interested. Enjoy your celebrations. 3/3

Unsurprisingly that rag the sun have somewhat upped the anti regards to yesterdays celebrations ?
The good people in merseyside showed us what to do with the gutter press. Take a lesson from them and ban scotlands sevco media shame.
