I know nothing! Evening Times anti-litter warrior left in the dark about Celtic’s title win

The Political Editor of the Glasgow/Evening Times was unaware that Celtic fans were celebrating in the city yesterday. 

Glasgow’s political patch isn’t the most extensive but football content fills up a fair amount of pages, in print and digitally for Stewart Paterson’s employer. 

With the moonhowlers on the dark side of the city desperate to draw O** F*** comparisons to the Tier 4 carnage that they inflicted around George Square Paterson’s tweets were all of the justification that they needed. 

Such was the scale of the devastation that the reporters camera couldn’t contain it all. What he did tweet was some littler and some broken glass, unfortunately a common sight in most UK cities on a Saturday or Sunday morning. 

Any comparisons with smashed benches, trashed flower beds and damage statues would require the sort of stretch that converts foundation in 2012 into a proud 150 year history. 

This week in Seville should provide a few live stories of carnage to keep Paterson’s colleagues very busy- with German and Spanish outlets providing plenty of content to work on.  

Saturday’s Scottish Cup Final could also see areas of the city getting messy.
