Cameron Carter-Vickers made a 45 minute second half appearance as the USA beat Morocco 3-0.

It was the first time that the defender had played for his country in three years but it was a pre-match tweet from Celtic that drew some attention.

Tweeting best wishes to players on international duty is a fairly standard chore, four players with Scotland were wished the best ahead of the World Cup Play-Off against Ukraine.

Then came a tweet for Carter-Vickers tagged with #internationalcelts. Technically the defender is no longer a Celtic player but maybe someone inside the club is teasing with transfer news about to be released.

Loan deals, such as with Jota, tend to be until the 31st of May, as of yesterday’s Carter-Vickers would revert back to being a Spurs player.

In September 2020 the first mention of Shane Duffy joining Celtic was when the club published a tweet with the defender included in a list of 14 #internationalcelts.
