Less than a month after horror stories emerged from Seville, similar tales sifted out of Ibrox last night as Harry Styles kicked off his world tour.Â
From Thursday night fans set up tents outside the stadium to ensure that they could be first in line to get close to the stage when the turnstiles opened.Â
With James Bisgrove the brains behind another money-spinning event it seems incredible that no portable toilets were provided outside the Old Lady of Edmiston Drive.Â
With only the Loudon Tavern to provide toilet facilities the air around the stadium before the gig was described as pungent.Â
A number of Twitter accounts are claiming that a fan fell from the Club Deck of the Main Stand, this has yet to be confirmed.
Picking up on the issues the Daily Record reports:Â
Harry Styles fans who were left queuing in the rain for hours for tonight’s Glasgow concert have slammed the event as a ‘shambles’.Â
Some revellers waited as long as three hours outside Ibrox Stadium to get inside the venue to watch the chart topping star perform.Â
The sold out gig is the opening night for the singer’s Love On Tour show. Many fans took to social media to express their frustration at lengthy queue times and no access to toilets.Â
On Twitter John Farnan wrote: “Two hour wait to get into harry styles! Accessible? How is that accessible, especially as some people have weakened bladders. Toilets only inside. You can do better than this.”Â
Alex Welsh tweeted: “Harry styles at the Ibrox is the worst organised event I’ve ever seen in my life. Almost three hours after doors opened and the queues are still three streets away.Â
Toilet facilities inside Ibrox are often described as basic with little sign of cleaning or upgrades since being built in the eighties. Ladies facilities are especially limited.Â
Since losing in the final of the Europa League the Ibrox club has issued three statements about the conditions inside the Ramon Sanchez Piswan Stadium on Seville.Â
After Aaron Ramsey’s penalty numerous stories appeared on Twitter about fans being forced to drink toilet water with many in distress due to dehydration. Strangely not a single video has emerged of the horrific conditions that bears had to endure.Â
I have been to 27 concerts, seen around 40 acts.
NEVER seen a more unorganised event than tonight, I love Harry Styles, I love Glasgow! No fault to Ibrox they done their best BUT it was horrific.
Police, stewards had no clue there was no communication, they felt useless!

Still in shock after @Harry_Styles concert @Ibrox. A guy fell from the tier above onto the main stand one row in front of us. No security to be seen. I had to run to main door at street level to bring help. Everyone in shock around us and so upset. Hope guy is OK.

Probably not the best decision to hold the concert at the Thicko Dome. Still, gave them a chance to rip-off somebody else’s fans other than their own.
Any update on any sfa action regarding the assault on the celtic employee at the same midden ?.
Seems there was portable toilets outside greyskull but they all thought they were burger van’s…

Not a venue one would associate with song & dance Unless there’s a load of flutes attending!

Not to make light of some poor sod who fell but perhaps he should’ve waited and he’d have realised it wasn’t a Sevco game he had paid to watch.

Talking about a positive spin on things just where is the.Irishman PR Guru, rumour has it he has been demoted hence the SPONSORED silence from,apparently he was a LIABILITY.
Maybe the guy who fell thought there was a waterfall on the lower deck.
Maybe he couldn’t take listening to Styles anymore? Or maybe he realised where exactly he was and couldn’t take the horror? I know either thing is suicide-inducing for me…
