Ibrox fans wake up to their Transfer Window Armageddon

On the back of another week of transfer tumbleweed some Ibrox fans are starting to wake up to the unfolding disaster.

Apparently PAOK are dragging their heels over the £2.5m transfer of Antonio Colak with the unfortunate Ibrox club helpless on the sidelines. Perhaps a £2.75m up front payment from the £50m UEFA payout of £28m commercial income might bring the Greek club rapidly to the table?

All the usual suspects are putting out the message that Celtic have only stood still with their transfer business. Securing loan signings isn’t for everyone, Kris Boyd wasn’t alone in celebrating the deals for flop duo Aaron Ramsey and Amad Dialo as recently as January.

Running in parallel with the lack of new faces is the clock ticking down on the contracts of Alfredo Morelos, Joe Aribo and Ryan Kent. Others in their final year include Ryan Jack, Filip Helander, Allan McGregor, Steve Davis and Scott Arfield.

A year ago Celtic were doing everything to find clubs for Odsonne Edouard, Ryan Christie and Kris Ajer. At Ibrox they are afraid to ask Morelos, Aribo and Kent their intentions- if forced to sell there is more likelihood of Dembele Dimes than Dollars.

On July 18 the draw will be made for the Third Qualifying Round of the Champions League, the first leg will be played on August 2/3 with the return on August 9.

Time is running away from transfer guru Ross Wilson, the natives are starting to twig that the Player Trading Model hasn’t got off the ground with the signing of John Souttar a tell-tale sign of the direction that transfer business is heading in.

After two windows unable to pay out more than token transfer fees Steven Gerrard quit Ibrox for Aston Villa in mid-season.

They are actually going backwards, the players are ageing & 6 are six months away from pre contracts with 3 heading to the knackers yard that tbf should be there now. The gullibilies aren’t the sharpest but they must be asking serious questions as this looks like a calamity unfolding. What a shame! Lol.

What we cannot afford to do, especially before we see how it pans out on the pitch with the new players, is become blasé. Let’s learn from our mistakes, and others, and be confident of our seemingly powerful squad being carefully assembled by big Ange and his back room team.

We are in one of the best pre season positions that I can remember, so caution is urged, and success will follow. The time to worry would be if we were in the same financial stramash that’s the Orcs are failing to accept.

Denial and over confidence has always been Sevco’s repeat mistake, and this season they will pay dearly for having a depleted team, coffers, and manager with dinosaur tactics on the training ground.

All bandwagon pundits Boyd,Rae, millar, wee bazza, the gardener, the daily ranger, to name but a few trying to hype up who is going there , get a life there is no cash hee hee hee.

  • Scud Missile says:

I watched Boyd on Sky Spots news interview the other day it was like listening to Bill & Ben the flower pot men, couldn’t understand a word the klan klown was saying.
Looks like someone has knocked out his teeth that he cleans with VIM no FAKE smile due to the transfer crisis at ibrox so I couldn’t see his FALSE Cowdenbeath.

“Meets their valuation”. There’s the problem right there.

Anything for sale is only worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it. They’re never going to get Dembele dollars, and never were.

They’re dammed if the t do and dammed if they don’t sell. If they keep them and let them run down their contracts to leave for nothing, all hell will break lose and their in a real and proper danger situation of damaging their financial status so much, that it could take years to recover with never winning anything and struggle to finish second in the league.

Alternatively, if they sell for moderate fees of around £5m (I think that’s a push also), then the zombies will be on their backs with regards to under selling them and short changing the klub & fans. This scenario would be the better option as all will soon be forgot when they can then bring in new players.

The problem being though that they owe soooo many people and they want their money and not confetti shares that hold less value the loo paper. In the meantime, Celtic and other clubs in the league will continue to strengthen and grow, so they’re not caught out standing still and let the racists catch up once more with non refundable payments on the guarantor of paying back from the funds of their next European final.

The futures bright…the future is Green & White

Lets say i’m slippy and i’m very aware of the present situation at sevco , why would i pay millions for any of the 3 amigos when i can get them on a free in 6 months ? .
That said i don’t believe for a second that he has any interest what so ever cutting a rod for his own back in taking any player from sevco !!!

No signings but hey Neil Warnock does prefer the Debtihad to Celtic Park though

  • Bob (original) says:

Well, the Ibrox PR guru has nicely set up Ross Wilson.

We had that – wholly unexpected and unnecessary – profile of Wilson recently in the SMSM.

…about a guy who works in the background at Ibrox.

So, when the bears start growling at the lack of signings,

Wilson could get unceremoniously punted under the nearest Park’s bus!

It was all his fault, apparently. 🙂

  • Scud Missile says:

I see Coco the klown at ibrox noise is spitting the dummy out about the interest in signing from the Grek club.
Apparently it’s all the Greek clubs fault because all is in agreement about the fee for the player and wages, but the club won’t sell without a replacement coming in.
Lol more FAKE news from the wee ALKIE Buckfast drinker at ibrox noise blaming the Greek club when Infact it is sevco dragging their heels over an extra half a million quid to complete the transfer.

  • John S says:

Those with 12 months left on their contracts are probably glad it isn’t more. Free agents have the lever these days, opting for a portion of any inapplicable transfer fee in their pay packet.

  • Giorgio Chiellini's Big Toe says:

There’s prob’s there at Ibroke, the more the merrier for us! But keep an eye on our own house order as well.

The guy in charge in situ, Bankier, is a Mason. That is the one and only way Higgins would have got an “Interview” for the Security gig.

He has been there a long time. He’s seen Lennon and Lawwell fall and HE lost us the Ten – intentionally or otherwise, although I couldn’t possibly say! But it was a nice one to drop, from the Hun’s perspective!

It effectively kept their morale up and them rolling through the turnstiles over the water there! Bankier has appointed Nicholson, another suit with bugger-all to say for himself and I would bet he is likely as Mason as well, self-preservation being the name of the game for Bankier and for Nicholson now as well!

A five year contract to Jota, in his formative years as a player, is way beyond where Jota can see forward and is actually an Iron Hand grip on the player by the Club and ensures Nicholson will have important work to do in the future, when Jota’s future at Celtic will be ultimately decided and he leaves.

If Bankier is not around, then his “Brother” will be there to sort that particular matter out – but don’t expect to hear much from him in the intervening time.

Good suits are not known for their high profile, but for their ceaseless, tireless work they do in the background! Yeah, yeah, yeah! So, what we have upstairs at Celtic an eclectic mixture of Masonic Brothers and nepotistic Sons, carrying on the work of the Celtic Mission.

Let’s just say it is about as far away as you can get from the founding principles of Brother Walfrid et ai!

But, so long as Desmond is happy at the top and the Celtic fans are happy at the, paying their Season Tickets, then that is the basis on which the Club will be run – n the foreseeable future and beyond.

And all I can say is Good Luck to them!
