Celtic have been drawn to face Real Madrid, Shakhtar Donetsk and RB Leipzig in the Champions League with the first match less than a fortnight away on September 6 or 7.
After a 42 year wait it is the clash with Real Madrid that hoops fans will be looking forward to with those two matches the ones they have been waiting for.
Barcelona and AC Milan have been fairly regular opponents in the Champions League with the current holders the highest ranked opponent that Celtic haven’t played since the competition was rebranded in the 1990s.
In 2018/19 Celtic faced RB Leipzig in the Europa League with each club winning at home and Celtic progressing to the knock-out stage with a little help from Rosenborg in the final group match.
Celtic have twice played Shakhtar in the Champions League but recent events mean that the away tie is likely to be played in Poland.
The fixtures may not be announced until Saturday morning.
The draw could have been much worse for Celtic and could be a nightmare for the huns.
Liverpool will pump thems home and away to the sound of YNWA.
Ajax and Napoli are not likely to concede many points to the huns, who will do well to get 3 points in total.
Celtic could well end up second in our group. I predict 10 points.
A piss-up in Madrid, maybe, is what some fans have been waiting for and are looking forwards to!
