One well informed member of the Kerrydale Street Message Board has claimed that Sead Haksabanovic is on his way to Celtic for just €2m.

Pendry and The Republican are two of the most respected posters on the popular message board with The Republican first to flag up interest in the Rubin Kazan winger.

Cash problems in Russia have hit Rubik hard with €2m virtually a fire sale fee with less than two weeks left in the transfer window.

Rubin are reported to have paid €6m for Haksabanovic a year ago but with wages to be met every month Celtic seem to have negotiated a very favourable deal.

According to The Sun the Montenegrin international could undergo a medical in London today with Ange Postecoglou likely to be asked about the winger at his lunchtime media conference.

I am glad that we are in for this player, but I wish we didn’t have the gleeful remarks about the fee. It is no fault of the Russian clubs that Putrid Putin has caused this disaster for them. The hypocritical UEFA (who claim to keep politics out of soccer) are also to blame. Celtic will certainly benefit, but I am sure they will also do their best to make it as fair as possible for the Russian club, without kicking them when they are down. It is not our style, unlike some others.
