Moritz Jenz made an attacking impact on his Celtic debut with a vital goal away to Ross County.
The home side had been on level terms for 26 minutes when Celtic were awarded a corner on the left-hand side of the pitch.
Previous set-pieces hadn’t mounted to much but when Jota played a short corner and got the return his delivery towards the penalty spot was met by the head of Jenz who nodded powerfully beyond home goalkeeper Ross Laidlaw.
It was a badly needed goal, into the final 10 minutes of the match it spared the visiting fans and drama or desperation on Matchday 1.

It wasn’t quite as epic a header as Tony Ralston’s last December but it edged Celtic in front inside the last 10 minutes of the match.
Liel Abada supplied a third goal in the first minute of stoppage time but with Stephen Welsh and Carl Starfelt unavailable the fourth choice central defender rose to the task.
