James Tavernier has emerged from the shadows to warn Celtic that his side are ready to take over in top spot in the SPFL Premiership.
A win over Hearts on Saturday will see the Ibrox side leapfrog the hoops into top spot before Ange Postecoglou’s side take on Motherwell soon after the Tynecastle match finishes.
Equally, possibly to the surprise of Captain Tav a home win will see Hearts move into second place with the two sides in action at Tynecastle going into that match on plus 8 goal difference.
Despite being a serial loser hope springs eternal for Tav, especially during an international break when he doesn’t have a recent performance to reflect on.
After the defeats from Celtic, Ajax and Napoli there wasn’t a word to be heard from the Ibrox skipper, now 10 days after a 2-1 victory over Dundee United he is apparently in bullish mood.
A run of fixtures against Hearts, Liverpool, St Mirren and Liverpool again should test just how bullish Tav is.
