Saturday’s 4-0 hammering at Celtic Park hit him hard but like many he took comfort from seeing Selik lose 3-0 to Real Madrid.
Briefly the gullible had some hope, things were turning their way, they were managed by a highly rated Dutchman and had reached a European final a few months ago.
Amsterdam and reality have hit Dan hard, there could be further bad news on the way for the big man with Aberdeen and Napoli on the horizon.
