After the pile on by characters like Piers Morgan, James Whale and Simon Jordan there isn’t much more mileage that can be squeezed out of hounding Celtic supporters.

They’ve all had their say, expressed their shock, horror and revulsion, it has been picked up by the usual suspects and recycled. Hibs and Dundee United fans have also had dishonourable mentions.

The outrage will start to fade away unless something fresh and new can pop up- tomorrow Scotland take on Ukraine at Hampden in a Nations League qualifier.

After being pumped out of the World Cup by Ukraine in June ticket sales are very slow, a charm offensive is needed to fill the big empty spaces but SFA CEO Ian Maxwell seems to be strangely quiet

With the late Queen a patron of the SFA, up until 1982 God Save The Queen was the anthem played before international matches, there has yet to be any announcement of how the SFA will recognise and honour the late Queen.

The timing of tomorrow’s match is very unfortunate for the SFA, there are very clear anti-English elements among the Tartan Army who have an almost angelic reputation.

Maxwell will have to decide whether to go for a silence or risk the wrath of Jordan, Morgan, Whale and others by asking Scotland fans to applaud before tomorrow’s match.

There is no easy answer for the CEO to make, perhaps at today’s media conferences he can show face, voice his own appreciation of the Queen and urge The Tartan Army to do their bit for the nation?

And Charlie paid no inheritance tax on his windfall.

  • Bob (original) says:

Ian Maxwell, the SFA CEO, [aka useful idiot].

Rod Petrie, the SFA Presicdent, [aka discredited author of the ‘secret 5 Way Agreement’].

Those 2 characters in those positions just sums up where we really are with Scottish football. 🙁

Oh dear talk about walking on egg shells, the Klan will be itching to have a go at him,but then again SAXWELL is one of their tickly handshakes brigade and stuff like that so he will probably go for the easy option and less hassle and bow down to the royals and the sevco support and go for God Save Whatever be that a King a Queen or a Jack.
