Speaking in three word blasts he adds nothing other than the sort of ‘boys working hard’ and ‘playing for that jersey’ analysis that you get from Barry Ferguson or Kris Boyd.
As a player Thomson lived off coming through the ranks at Hibs, while his more talented team-mate became a trophy winning legend at Celtic Thomo twice returned to Hibs, retired in 2016 at the age of 31 as his old pal was preparing for a Quadruple Treble.
Ajax visit Ibrox on Tuesday which should be the end of the former Kelty Hearts boss giving his views on BT Sport with shifts on BBC Scotland alongside the usual suspects to follow.

It actually was worse than that ! The commentator was the depressingly awful Rob McLean . McLean and Thomson ! Sounds like a circus act ! The BBC have also decided that the Rangers’ pet seal ,Alasdair Lament , shall commentate on the Celtic matches for radio ! Not only do we have the most dreadful refereeing officials in this country ,but the most atrocious commentariat ever ,too .
