A wacky professor has produced a 100,000 word, 335 page book trying to claim that Rangers didn’t die in 2012.
Brian Howieson claims to be a Falkirk fan but is about as neutral and balanced as a BBC Scotland debate between Kenny Mcintyre, Alasdair Lamont, Neil McCann, Steven Thompson and Kenny Miller.
Despite the best efforts of the football authorities and Scottish media to deny the truth, to keep alive the O** F*** the sad facts are that the club founded in 1872 that celebrated their centenary in 1973 went into liquidation on 31 October 2012 after Her Majesty rejected a pitiful CVA offered in June 2012.
A total of 276 creditors were left high and dry including Glasgow City Council, Scottish Ambulance Service, Scottish Power and many small businesses such as taxi firms, florists and newsagents around Murray Park.
Allan McGregor, Steve Davis, Kyle Lafferty, Steven Naismith and Steven Whittaker walked away as free agents.
Motherwell took part in the 2012/13 Champions League qualifiers.
Charles Green formed a Tribute Act that joined Division Three of the Scottish Football League, that entered the Scottish Cup and League Cup at the first round, that played in the Irn Bru/ Petrofac Training Cup for the first time, edging out Brechin City in a Glebe Park thriller after extra time.
Howieson knows the truth, a book aimed at the gullible should earn him some money and a few guest appearances with the lads on Sportsound.

There’s an interesting time to do a piece that will probably be in the paper on the 10th anniversary of Liquidation Day, funny that ???
Agenda clocked

He can write ?? about it till he’s blue in the face no pun intended won’t get away from facts liquidation is the End. He just had to go to companies house and saved his red neck. pic.twitter.com/fjvFQwYtOE

I think what the nutty professor is saying is that the ‘club’ never got ‘relegated’ . It was the ‘company’ that got ‘relegated’. ? pic.twitter.com/j7ri61dnWm

Surprised he didn’t use this Walter Smith quote at the start of his book
“We wish the new Rangers Football Club every good fortune”

I’ll bet he doesn’t understand Liquidation means the club died.

Incorporated and liquidated. He’ll make his money though.

This chap is neither a Professor of Law nor Finance,
so the subject matter is outside his area of expertise.
He’s not going to get a Nobel nomination for this publication, 🙂
and his colleagues at Stirling University might take exception to this terrible
advert for that Institution’s academic standards.
Notice how Roger Hannah of the Sun ,has hand picked favourable quotes and lines from the book which makes the tribute act all shiny and bright and sympathetic ! Hacking people’s phones ,fabricating the truth ,or sub standard ,lazy reporting is what the Sun does ! It’s reputation as a rancid cesspool knows no limits .
who cares about this rubbish that he has wriiten maybe he should do more research on company law regarding liquidation will only take a around 1 hour to read ithink he said it took 3 years to write must have got most of the text from the bigots blogs.
If the club didn’t die then why did *Rangers FC play Forres Mechanics on the 28th September 2012 in the Scottish Cup round 2, the season after finishing 2nd in the Scottish Premier League?
