Connor Goldson is facing several months out of action after tearing a thigh muscle during the 7-1 defeat from Liverpool on Wednesday night.
The sight of the defender collapsing to the turf clutching his left thigh caused almost as much pain for Ibrox fans as the barrage of goals flying past Allan McGregor.
Over the last four seasons Goldson has barely missed a match but it looks like he’ll be joining John Souttar and Filip Helander in the Treatment Room until the new year at the earliest.
?? “I’m not exactly sure but it will be several months before he can play.”

The Rangers Review reports:
“It’s a big blow whenever you have injuries. Connor played all the games since I’ve joined the club. He was an ever-present and a very important player at the back with his coaching and his presence. That’s a big blow. We won’t have him back for the next months so that’s a big blow.”
Asked how many months he will be absent, van Bronckhorst replied: “I’m not exactly sure but it will be several months before he can play.”
Leon King and Ben Davies are the last central defenders still available to van Bronckhorst with midfielders John Lundstram and James Sands on stand-by.
During the summer transfer window Leon Balogun was released with Nicky Katic paid off to join FC Zurich.
Boo hoo hoo. Suck it up you Dutch Cap.
