John Beaton’s performance in yesterday’s 2-1 win over Motherwell has been one of the main talking points on social media.
The Lanarkshire based referee failed to award Celtic a penalty in the 72nd minute when Ricki Lamie raised his hand to deflect a cross from Liel Abada then followed that up with an 89th minute red card for Callum McGregor.
Lamie and Kevin van der Veen were booked during the first half but somehow no card was shown to Barry Maguire for a very cynical foul in the 33rd minute.
Beaton had a perfect view as the Motherwell defender raced towards Reo Hatate with a straight leg that sent the Celtic midfielder tumbling to the deck. A free kick was awarded but no card was shown, in European matches with VAR in operation that challenge could easily have resulted in a yellow or red card.

The SPFL highlights don’t go into great detail but there was no way that Maguire could play the ball away with a straight leg. Hatate recovered from the challenge, Josip Juranovic struck the crossbar with the free kick with Beaton continuing in his unique way of refereeing the match.
He is a cheat,his record in Celtic games is Abdominal,this can’t go on.
But I’m not holding my breath in the Celtic board stopping this.

Well dont expect the celtic board to say anything about the refs in the spfl because its cowards on our board who take our money but never stick up for our own players and that just shows us all how bad our corrupt game is our own board stays silent on our own players getting kicked about the park and they say fuck all p.lawwell signed the 5way agreement and denied it to us celtic fans so we wonder what his boy will do probably the same silent as per usual its about time the celtic fans opened their mouths about out corrupt board aswell.
