One Ibrox podcaster is claiming that there will be a 12 noon media conference tomorrow to anounce the departure of Giovanni van Bronckhorst.
With 11,700 followers on Twitter Rikki Neill clearly has a few believers but in this case it looks very much like wishful thinking.
If the Ibrox board had the funds to pay off van Bronckhorst and appoint a successor they’d have done so soon after the humiliating 7-1 defeat from Liverpool in the Champions League.
Allowing the Dutchman to stay in place has allowed a two point gap to be extended to nine with rumours abounding of fall-outs and clashes within the first team dressing room.
With no matches until Hibs visit Ibrox on December 15 the board can sit things out even though there might be some mild criticism at the company AGM on December 6.
A few reminders of where the club were five years ago and some masonic messaging should be enough to keep most bears onside as the clock ticks towards January 2 with VAR available for the visit of Celtic.
Van Bronckhorst has the security of a contract running until May 2025.
Hearing chat about Gio.
Not sure if it’s just rumours, I’ve now heard from a few different people that Gio has accepted a package and that there’s a press conference tomorrow at 12.Not sure if there’s any truth in it…@Allaboutgers should be interesting tomorrow if it’s true…
