Lionheart Tavernier trends on Twitter as history beckons

Of all the images to associate with James Tavernier Lionheart certainly isn’t one.

Seven seasons at Ibrox have brought the princely sum of two winners medal, the same number as the 20/21 St Johnstone Lockdown squad.

During 2022 Tav has worn the armband during a 4-0 and 3-0 defeats at Celtic Park, previously under a variety of managers he’s twice lost 5-1 to Celtic as well as a 5-0 and a 4-0 defeat.

Tonight it is all about the Champions League and the chance to avoid going into the history books as the worst team ever. After five defeats the goal difference is 1-19, back in 2011 Dinamo Zagreb managed a 3-22 record as they achieved a clean sweep of six defeats.

Earlier this season Tav signed a contract extension for an undisclosed period.
