St Johnstone showed no respect to the Record breakers, went into a 2-0 lead just past the hour then held on comfortably despite a goal from James Tavernier in the 74th minute.
Sutton can sit back now as the smiles and gags disappear from the scripts of McCoist and Boyd, perhaps that duo in the dug-out could bring some joy to the angry and frustrated bears.
