The van Bronckhorst/Kamara rumour grows legs

Rumours are pouring out of Ibrox about rifts, shouting matches and heated exchanges between the management team and the players.

With Giovanni van Bronckhorst still largely reliant on the squad assembled by Steven Gerrard it seems that too many of the players are harking back to the good old days of winning a title away from the scrutiny of loyal bears.

After losing at St Johnstone last week there were reports of dressing room unrest with James Tavernier sheepishly listening to a fan angry that the players hadn’t waved to the Union Bears after the final whistle.

Now, after falling nine points behind Celtic in the SPFL Premiership table Jordan Campbell is reporting on a lively exchange between Glen Kamara and van Bronckhorst.

Watching his mates Joe Aribo, Calvin Bassey and Leon Balogun escape during the summer seems to have upset Kamara who has only started seven matches this season, against St Mirren yesterday the former Dundee man was substituted at half-time.

Kamara has been poor for 18 mnths. Maybe 1 or 2 stand out games in that time but if he’s being honest with himself, has hardly contributed. A lot of that is form but there is a useful player in there if played correctly. We aren’t doing that and the manager has to take blame here

Tavernier and John Lundstram are getting mentioned on the rumour mill, with the players now off on holiday the WhatsApp chat should be lively as Gerrard’s squad wait to find out who’ll be in charge when they return to prepare to face Hibs on December 15.
