Hard up Beale makes transfer promise

Micky Beale has repeated his claim that he won’t sign any players on loan to prop up his Ibrox squad.

Almost three weeks into the transfer window Ross Wilson has failed to deliver on the players that the Ibrox boss identified to strengthen his squad.

Beale insisted on face to face talks with his transfer targets, looked into their eyes then left the Ibrox hierarchy to get the deals completed.

With minimal funds available and no sellable assets it looks like Beale will have a long wait to put a club suit on a new signing.

The Daily Record reports the former Liverpool coach saying:

I’ve made a rod for my own back there saying there would be no loans but I don’t think that is right for the club long term.

That would be saving myself, if you like. I could go and get some quick fixes that make my record a bit stronger between now and the end of the season but don’t take Rangers any further forward and actually, in the short term, probably costs us quite a lot of money.

When you are in charge or you are one of the people in control in terms of making those decisions at the club, you have got to think of the betterment of Rangers longer term. I know the journey we have been on. I know how fast we want to get there, which was yesterday.

Faced with a similar budget a year ago Giovanni van Bronckhorst had to put a brave face on the loan deals that brought Amad Diallo and Aaron Ramsey to the Ibrox payroll.

This guy tells more lies than Tam Pepper and he went to Hell for telling his lies.
Last week he was bragging about half a dozen players he had lined up checked out and on their way to the BIGOT dome.
This week he tells the dopey journalists that they picked him up wrong and they got the wrong end of the stick.
Lol but he was quite happy telling them last week about who he was watching and bringing into the klub, now it was just players he was pointing out who are good players not coming to the klub.
