Union Berlin have promised Celtic fans that they will take care of Josip Juranovic.
At lunchtime the transfer was announced, less than 24 hours after watching Celtic in action against Morton the defender had passed the medical, signed for Union Berlin with the social media videos all completed.
There has been virtually no criticism of Juranovic from Celtic supporters, there is some regret about the shortness of his stay and puzzlement over the transfer fee but the player hasn’t got upto any tricks or gone behind anyone’s back.
Last season was a very special one for Celtic fans, a new team came together and blossomed with Juranovic playing a significant role.
And the love the Celtic fans have shown him over the last few days is overwhelming. Not all players get that, and it’s testament to the man. I hope you know we’ll look after him. Eisern!

His departure has been anticipated, even though he had a contract running to 2026. In Alistair Johnston it looks like a very similar style of full-back has been identified with his early appearances impressive. Tony Ralston can always be relied on
With 10 days left in the transfer window there is likely to be more activity from Celtic with Juranovic having the distinction of being the first player bought and sold by Ange Postecoglou.
All the best JJ. You are a special player – and as you said ‘once a celt always a celt’. ?
10 million…
A steal…
Good luck josip
