Keith Jackson has highlighted the threatening message sent to Micky Beale on Saturday at Livingston.
After a week basking in the media adulation for his actions against Partick Thistle the Ibrox boss was brought back to reality with a banner unfurled by the Union Bears.
When Thistle were allowed to equalise unopposed Malik Tillman’s goal in the Scottish Cup it was met by a chorus of booing around Ibrox.
The applause and cheering from the media afterwards would have been soothing for Beale but even Jackson knew what the Union Bears were messaging about on Saturday.
In the Daily Record he warns:
Beale got an unwelcome glimpse of that for himself at the weekend when a section of militants in his own club’s support unfurled a banner at Livingston which must have left the manager scratching his head in utter disbelief.
Two trophies in eleven years. Uphold the standards that matter”. There was an almost threatening, ever so slightly sinister undertone to this message which was directed at the very man responsible for rescuing their club from a campaign engulfed in crisis.
Talk about entitlement?
So they are only 11 years old the truth always comes out in the end ??????

It’ll be more like a home game for #Rangers with the strong support… https://t.co/UFaW70sk08

Two trophies for a new club isn’t that bad.
‘Same club’ so why only mention the previous 11 years? They know fine they’re in their infancy yet, although, I’ve little hope of them maturing into anything meaningful; ever.
Roll on the cup final, we’ll show them who’s boss.
