At Hampden on Sunday there will be a clash between two of the giants of the managerial business.
That is the tale getting fed to Daily Record readers by their award winning sports reporter Keith Jackson.
Over the last decade there has been some incredible claims made to try and portray an O** F*** rivalry that just isn’t there. Anyone in doubt should note that Ange Postecoglou has won as many trophies in 18 months as Sunday’s opponents have in their history.
A win for Celtic on Sunday would put Postecoglou’s Scottish trophy haul on a par with St Johnstone.
A decade or so ago newspapers might have been able to shape the build up to a cup final but those days are long gone with circulation of the Record barely hanging on above 60,000.
While the Record, BBC Scotland and others lap up every sound-bite from Beale they get shot to pieces by Postecoglou, mate.
The Celtic boss made it clear on Friday that he has better things to do with his time than to listen in to media conferences from other managers. It might make for a quick headline and clicks but in the real world Postecoglou has bigger fish to fry.
Almost as soon as these phoney war stories are published they are shot to pieces, whatever the result is on Sunday the only certainty is that the Record’s army of readers will be the losers.

There is no war and the phoney war you speak of, was the one made up in the heads of ‘journalists’ like you.

Nonsense. Ange would survive a cup final defeat but if Beale loses, then the fans turn on him.

Ange told them but they still tell him all about beale.
He said this, he said that and talking about celtic again.
