Reo Hatate was the star turn as Celtic made it 13 wins out of 13 with a very comfortable 4-0 win over Aberdeen on home soil.

The Japanese midfielder scored twice coming off the bench against St Mirren last week and repeated that achievement as the hoops edged a goal further away from their closest rivals with nine points and 26 goals the buffer between the Glasgow sides.

Aaron Mooy and David Turnbull dropped out of the Celtic midfield due to injury but it was business as usual as Callum McGregor and Hatate put Celtic 2-0 in front after 13 minutes.

There were signs of a Tannadice type scoreline building up but Aberdeen managed to get a few blocks in as the low crosses were delivered from both flanks.

The fans had to wait until the final 15 minutes for further scoring, the third was started by some brilliant close control from Hatate who then advanced into the penalty box to finish it off.

Substitutes Sead Haksabanovic and Liel Abada combined in the 89th minute with the young Israeli adding to his goal tally as the hoops now begin preparations for the first trophy of the season at Hampden next season.
