BBC Scotland have completed a week of comforting angry bears with the news that stars from Barcelona and Nantes are set to join the Micky Beale Revolution.

With all SPFL clubs hosting media conferences on Friday there is no shortage of stories across newspapers and websites but there is no disguising the motives of the state broadcaster.

Deflecting away from the reality of Celtic success and a distant second prize for the Ibrox Tribute Act is the mantra throughout BBC Scotland, from Kenny Macintyre and Tom English through to Jane Lewis and Mr Amy MacDonald.

Ignore the detail and spin up the headlines that Marcus Coco and Pablo Torres are Ibrox-bound to team up with Nico Raskin and Todd Cantwell to put Celtic in their place.

There are some stories that BBC Scotland will clearly body-swerve.

‘Football finance expert’ Kieran Maguire recently joined Macintyre and English for a podcast aimed at projecting the image that there is very little difference between the finances of two Glasgow football clubs.

Earlier this week Companies House published further detail on the 2022 accounts of the Ibrox Tribute Act.

Confirming that the windfalls from selling Calvin Bassey and Joe Aribo had been spent on last summer’s flops and paying off Giovanni van Bronckhorst seems a decent story. As does the £8.1m cost of New Edmiston House.

Not to BBC Scotland however, not a word, not a tweet. Either they haven’t contacted Maguire for his interpretation of these events or the state broadcaster didn’t want to alarm their licence payers with the bad news.

The klan fans slowly getting their way here with Duggie 5 chins away and Jocky Wilson offski, the next one to go before the season is finished will be Robertson.

Should the klan drop points before we play them next at ibrox he may well be gone, should we beat them at ibrox he will DEFINITELY be gone.

I’m a Nantes supporter myself. Marcus Coco has got one all season. Over nearly 250 games for Guingamp and Nantes, 11 goals and 14 assist…
Means he’s worse than Ryan Kent (the game changer:as I heard him called!!!)
    Lol…..great signing if he comes….

  • John Copeland says:
