Al Nassr have dramatically joined the race to sign Alfredo Morelos.

The striker is out of contract at the end of June with the Saudi giants following up a recommendation from Cristiano Ronaldo as they look to boost their firepower for next season.

Former Ibrox defender Bruno Alves spoke glowingly to Ronaldo about his former team-mate with informal talks suggesting that Morelos is interested in a mega bucks move to Saudi Arabia. Recently he has undertaken a special conditioning programme to prepare for playing in the intense heat.

Sevilla, Galatasaray and Forest Green Rovers have been linked with the Ibrox ace in recent weeks but the chance to earn life changing money while playing alongside an iconic figure like Ronaldo will be hard to resist.

Micky Beale has spent a number of hours in recent weeks looking deep into the eyes of his star striker but is almost resigned to losing Morelos to Al Nassr.

Morelos was believed to have been considering quitting football to move into the priesthood but that plan has been put on hold as he looks at a massive payday in Saudi.

One consolation is that Al Nassr are interested in playing a friendly match at Ibrox in August, the return of El Duffalo alongside CR7 should prove to be a money spinner to boost Beale’s transfer warchest.

Sheikh Yirrafa Yernut of Al Nassr refused to comment on the speculation, it is believed that Morelos made a hush hush visit to Riyadh during the recent international break.

In other news the SFA are looking into reports of irregular betting patterns over Dundee United getting a penalty today at Ibrox, it is believed that three bets from the Tayside area have included a penalty for the away team. Don Robertson will referee the match with.

UPDATE: Dan Dan the Transfer Man has claimed that Morelos was stuck in the January window.
