The Daily Record has announced plans for an Ibrox party that no-one inside the club is aware of.
Yesterday it was announced that five players will be leaving as free agents next week with tonight’s match at home to Hearts their last home fixture.
None of the five departing players started Sunday’s win over Hibs but a tweet this morning requested that fans stay behind after the final whistle to show their appreciation to Ryan Kent, Alfredo Morelos, Filip Helander, Scott Arfield and Allan McGregor.
There was no suggestion of a party, that aspect was created by the Record.
On Saturday there will be a proper party, celebration and trophy presentation at Celtic Park as Ange Postecoglou’s side complete their SPFL Premiership campaign.
Afterwards thousands of supporters are expected to continue the celebrations around Glasgow Cross, High Street, Gallowgate and through the Merchant City.
