Celtic have responded quickly to a report in The Sun that they are about to be allocated thousands of extra tickets for Saturday’s Scottish Cup Final.
There hasn’t been any announcement of numbers but it appears that Inverness Caley Thistle were given an initial allocation of around 8,000 tickets with a further 2,000 held back if they sold out.
Sluggish sales to Caley Thistle fans would have been picked up quickly, from a reply on Twitter it looks like Celtic have already received the 2,000 that were being retained in case Caley Thistle sold out.
Now it seems that Caley Thistle have fallen short of selling out their initial allocation with a smaller batch likely to be making its way towards Celtic fans.
Hi Stacey, we have already received our additional allocation of match tickets for the Cup Final – we received additional tickets prior to our 2nd and 3rd phases of sale.
Our allocation of tickets now sees us in receipt of match tickets up to Block A6 of the West Stand. Thanks?

Celtic initially allocated a ticket to each Season Ticket holder on the Home Ticket Cup Scheme with two further allocations going deeper into the supporter base.
With the possibility of finishing the season with a treble whatever tickets are allocated to Celtic are likely to be quickly snapped up.
Maybe Inverness could have sold more tickets if the match was held at the correct time, the distance and time for the Inverness fans to get to the match and return home is ridiculous, anyone wanting to take their kids have not been considered, typical sfa being weak and moving the match to suit English tv.
However more celtic fans can now go.
