Dominant force- The bare faced lie of James Bisgrove

James Bisgrove has told a media conference that ‘Rangers have traditionally been the dominant club in Scotland’. No one picked him up on a clear lie.

The old Ibrox club won more trophies than anyone else in the 90s but since then Celtic have come out on top in every decade since, as they also did in the sixties and seventies.

That pattern has continued this century with the hoops currently on a run of winning 16 out of the last 20 domestic trophies on offer with the prospect of adding one more before this season ends.

Bisgrove was taking questions at a media conference today when Brian McLaughlin of BBC Scotland asked about the problems Micky Beale faced to turn his club into the dominant force as Bisgrove had set out in an in-house interview earlier this week.

Traditionally Rangers has been the dominant team in Scotland, clearly that hasn’t been the case last season or the season before but we have a lot of belief in the manager, a lot of belief in the strategy of the club, the scouting and that is why we are optimistic.

But, we’ll see what next season brings but I think that it is right that we are positive and optimistic as that plan is in place and we’ve already made and we’re making good in-roads in terms of executing that plan.

McLaughlin then followed up asking if the club would look at any external funding. At one stage Queens Park were the dominant force in Scottish football with Vale of Leven their main challenger.

    Looks a nervous wreck

Just scripted nonsense the gullible c*nts lap up

and the media just sit nodding their heads rather than saying ” Can I ask you something about this dominant force you’re talking about “

    • Scud Missile says:

Lol better still why not ask him about the most recent court case they are facing a bill for £338,000.

    • Heed the breed says:

That lot doesn’t deal in factual truth or integrity or morals.
Only lies cheats piss and living in 1690.
Season tickets to be sold for dembele dollars.

  • Scouse bhoy says:

Scotlands sevco media shame a gutless shower of imposters. 150 years ? They know that is a bare face lie and yet in a so called free and impartial press they dare not call it out.

  • Scud Missile says:

Bisgrove and his new klub are the Donald Trump of Scottish football all LIES and FAKE NEWS.

  • J.P.Docherty says:

Agreed Harold why is what he says not questioned? In fairness he is working a month behind reality as he makes it mid April, I’ve been in business long enough to recognise a complete shyster and unless my nose has deserted me I smell b++++hit.

    • Tony B says:

Yes indeed. The smell of SHITE is strong with this one.

BTW. I hear he got a good deal on some magic beans from a guy selling them at the corner of Argyll Street and Glassford Street.

    So, let’s just recap on the situation at Ibrox currently;

    1) Rookie Manager.
Beale had 10 minutes at QPR before doing a runner back to Ibrox.
Beale’s getting OTJ work experience at Ibrox.

By all measures, this season has been a failure.
Beale has virtually zero funds to totally rebuild the squad.
    Impossible job…?

    2) Rookie CEO.
Bisgrove has Sales & Marketing experience with blue chips.
But, his education and experience is wholly focused on these areaas.
Bisgrove’s getting OTJ work experience at Ibrox.

By all accounts, there’s no money, numerous legal cases,
and UEFA has the club on their FSR Watchlist.
    An impossible job…?

    3) Rookie Chairman.
‘Gordon’ Bennett has been successful in Financial Services / Investments,
but does not seem to have operational experience, not even at an SME?
It seems he was elevated to Chairman by default, because Park did a runner.
Bennett’s getting OTJ work experience at Ibrox.

And how can he effectively support his rookie CEO through these challenging times ?
    An impossible job…?

    4) And a curious aside:

There are 2 NED’s who do have extensive business experience,
and one has a lengthy history at Ibrox: Alastair Johnston and Julian Wolhardt.

In this time of crisis, and with many senior managers leaving,
you’d think they would provide more support, in the interim? [Maybe they are?]

They have both been quiet so far, and I don’t know if they’ve also done a runner?

[In the past, we have seen that Ibrox can been tardy when submitting
Company Officer Resignation updates to Companies House.]

  • the maister says:

They were certainly dominant that time they won the Cup! (Irn-Bru.)

  • John Copeland says:

Did any of the handpicked scoops ask about the latest litigation case involving the Rangers ? That’s what I thought !

  • Magua says:

Rangers no longer exist, except in the minds of the deluded.

    Hail Hail.

  • Bhoy4life says:

He has been misunderstood, what he meant was they are the dominant club when it comes to not conceding penalties, the dominant club when it comes to writs, the dominant club when it comes to cheating.
Hate it when the media here misconstrue what peepul say.

  • John S says:

When Mr. Bisgrove says “traditionally” he means 2 clubs, one of which had a shameful sectarian tradition.
