As the Celtic players lifted the SPFL Premiership a mile or so along the road fans were gathering around Glasgow Cross to celebrate title number 53.

Along Trongate, High Street and the Gallowgate fans spilled onto the streets after toasting the 5-0 win over Aberdeen that brought the curtain down on a memorable SPFL campaign.

Just 1,200 fans were inside Tynecastle on May 7 as the hoops went 13 points clear with four matches left to play with the full scale celebrations put on hold.

Three matches without a win put a bit of a dampener on emotions over recent weeks but doubles from Kyogo Furuhashi and Oh Hyeon-gyu plus a header from Carl Starfelt saw the champions back into top gear.

At the final whistle the podium was set up, Sky Sports cameras covered each choreographed moment to give the sponsors full exposure but around Glasgow Cross it was all unscripted as an 11th title in 12 years was celebrated.
