Desperate to establish a digital future The Scotsman went overboard today as they proclaimed Micky Beale as Scotland’s champion manager.

As the Edinburgh based publisher checks on the SPFL Premiership table they will see Celtic in top place with Beale’s side a distant second.

That message isn’t going to go down well with their target audience, Celtic fans have a variety of fan-based outlets that can provide balance and highlight the agendas old old media.

In a game of little consequence, the stand-out performer was Fashion Sakala whose enterprise earned him the first two goals before Antonio Colak added a late third to ensure Rangers head off into their summer rebuild on a high.

The victory means they end the season with more points than Celtic in the period since Beale became manager, even if that is of little consequence when their great rivals are on course for a domestic treble and Rangers have won nothing.

Even the author of the report seems keen to distance himself from the cheap headline.

It is of enough consequence for The Scotsman to highlight as they try to deflect away from Postecoglou winning his fourth trophy out of five, next week he can nudge that up to five out of six if Celtic win the Scottish Cup.

There wasn’t a trophy presentation after today’s 3-0 win away to St Mirren with no SPFL medals handed out to runners-up.

Why do these newspapers keep employing stuntmen for Big BENNY from Crossroads and Sam Dingle from Emmerdale.

Radio commentary today as the fourth went in at Celtic Park…Aberdeen are on the beach with flip flops on, it doesn’t matter…no such leeway afforded to the Celtic manager was there?
Once again just highlights the almost total bias against our club within the pundit and media arena.

Twice in the post-match interviews Sky Sports insinuated the prospect of the manager leaving into their questions.

Time after time these media tabloids come away with absolute schoolboy reporting and absolute Amatuer journalism maybe if they just come clean and let the cat out from the bag they all support the new Glasgow club from govan 11 titles in 12 years from celtic and a possible world record of 8 trebles won and all they can do is grovel over a second rate rangers team and a fly by night manager absolute pathetic journalism no wonder its only a large percentage stupid people that still buy news papers.

The Scotsman is Scotland’s equivalent of the Torygraph.

I think the writer meant how many points above beale.
I’m sure if you check the records GVB was 4 points behind celtic on final day, how many points is beale behind on final day.
The story is not worth the effort in writing or reading, primary 2 kids would check the evidence first.
I also note that GVB won a trophy, beale has only won all the greatest ever losers prizes.
