Anthony Joseph has tweeted that terms have been agreed for the transfer of Marco Tilio from Melbourne City to Celtic.

Obtaining a work permit for someone who was part of Australia’s World Cup squad last year should be a formality as the winger joins Odin Thiago Holm in Brendan Rodgers’ squad.

With a 21-year-old right winger joining the club there is bound to be increased speculation that Liel Abada will be moving on with the Israeli linked with a move to England over the last few months.

Tilio has scored 10 goals from 29 A-League matches this season which is close to the return that Celtic got from Abada last season although he found himself mainly used as a substitute.

Celtic have had a very successful hit rate with Australian’s with Scott McDonald and Tom Rogic scoring vital goals while Aaron Mooy played an important role in the season just finished.

On Monday Celtic’s non-internationalists report for training as they start the build up to the first pre-season match, away to Yokohama F Marinos on July 19.

I don’t get it ! Why does Celtic F C give preference to a MSM scoop when releasing transfer news over The Celtic bloggers and vloggers ? I mean the SS are not exactly a bona fide advocate for anything Celtic related …are they ? Their favourite will always be another clumpany ! Give the Celtic guys and girls first dibs ! I’m just saying ….

      Terrific comment and I couldn’t agree more. It’s Lawwell again……and again……and again.
The fat git was unbelievably over-paid as CEO, he was always ‘in bed’ with the huns (old AND new), he’d ‘shop’ our supporters in a heartbeat to the Waffen SS AKA Police Scotland, he knew ALL about the 5-6 Way and almost certainly helped ‘craft’ it with the other ‘crafty’ scum in Scottish fitba, he cost us untold tens of millions in CL revenue due to his parsimonious interfering in transfer activity…….and on…….and on…… and yet SOME Tims somehow think he’s okay?

FFS he should NEVER have been allowed back (it’s renowned BAD business practice for an ex CEO to be appointed Chairman) but what baby Dermott wants, baby Dermott gets and in THIS Tim’s opinion Lawwell back was a “get” too many.
