Good vibes- Raskin sends out early warning to Celtic

Nico Raskin reckons that beating Celtic in a dead-rubber has set his side up to topple the hoops next season.

The midfielder moved to Ibrox in January, lost to Celtic in the Viaplay Cup Final, SPFL Premiership and then in the Scottish Cup but seems to believe that a 3-0 home win in May wipes the slate clean on the season just ended.

Normally if your rivals have swept the board for honours it is best to keep a low profile and try to do your talking on the pitch when the new campaign gets underway.

Some prefer to do things differently with the Daily Record reporting Raskin saying:

I played a lot for Rangers during the season – whenever I was fit basically. Rangers are a great club with very high expectations. When I arrived, it was a complicated situation and we lost a cup final. But the longer the season went on, the better we were as a team. We ended the season beating Celtic 3-0 and that gave us all a good vibe for next season.

When Celtic go to Ibrox in the first batch of matches next season Raskin will be up against a different manager and almost certainly a much changed Celtic side.

In defence Cameron Carter-Vickers, Alastair Johnston and Greg Taylor are likely to be back in the Starting XI as the hoops aim to make it 12 title wins over 13 seasons.

Here we go again with all these big statements again about what they are going to from nickel&dime players mouthing off, they never learn.
Now it is rubbing off on the klan on FF as they are putting it out there today that they are going to SMASH any team that they come up against on the way to qualifying for the champions league,be that if it need be PSV or Benfica as the final hurdle to get there.

    • Clachnacuddin and the Hoops says:

They truly give us such a laugh and long may it last Scud !

Season after season, year after year, it’s Deja Vu, Deja Vu, Deja Vu ! – until they fall flat all over their egg filled chins and faces !

Raskin Riskin it again this year now – Aw well Congratulations on this latest Summertime Cup Nicky Boy – it’ll go a long way to soothing all the Sevco tears that contaminated and flooded Glasgow on Tuesday evening !!!

      • Clachnacuddin and the Hoops says:

Not sure if your post is in relation to mine or not Stefanie, but I did and mostly do take my information about The Sevco Comedy Show from the daily info article on here and not so much The Sevco blogs…

That said – I have to be honest and say I love to lurk into them when we beat them either undeserved like The 2019 League Cup Final or like The 4-0 massacre last September –

I am guilty of schadenfreude when we beat them and I hope I get the opportunity for plenty more !!!

        • Clachnacuddin and the Hoops says:

  • Eamonn Little says:

It’s for the gullibillies. We as a support would be raging and telling our players to button it until we actually won something,if they were running off at the mouth after a single result. Is it a requirement for a player to be thick as shite before they sign them up there?.Looks that way.

  • Robert Downey says:

They never learn, always got to be mouthing off , especially when there is no football being played.
My advice to you young man, save your boasting and let’s see if you can do it when and where it matters.

  • Scud Missile says:

What are you on about ya fud,are you one of our supporters with BLINKERS on,if you are that’s worse than being sevco supporter.

  • John S says:

    Have we entered a Time-Warp ?

  • Davie says:

Lots of alleged talk going on, The Rangers were getting closer last season, Celltic did the job in matches where points mattered.
THe Rangers won last Derby of the season which only had pride at stake.
Celtic players knew Ange was leaving when the league was won.
Celtic players then looked after themselves prior to the cup final and avoided injury.
Next season is unknown with all of The Rangers freebies, maybe they will be hungry to impress, Celtic also need to be hungry and up their game in these matches.
Any sign of contempt for any opponent can lose the match and points.
So any bragging just now is pointless, do the bragging with respect after you win matches.

  • Edward Murison says:

That why dons took 4 points from you and celtic won treble while u won nothing a meaningless game when ange changed half the team that’s your problem same old rangers all mouth no action now ur going play in team freebies despite considerable amount money to mooch a coach manager who lies every time opens his mouth and his critism of Sutton who won Premier league in England and numerous cups nd leagues n scotland he opens his mouth spks shit wot he won all tell you nothing as said all mouth
