Ibrox Fire Sale launched with star midfielder ‘attracting interest’

With no transfer fees paid out so far on the Micky Beale Revolution plans are underway to shift the deadwood accumulated by Steven Gerrard and Giovanni van Bronckhorst.

Since Beale took charge Todd Cantwell, Nico Raskin and Kieran Dowell have been signed with a new contract handed to Ryan Jack.

In the final of the Viaplay Cup in February Glen Kamara was in the Starting XI but has been drifting to the fringes with each passing month.

At one stage there were Morelos-type transfer tales of interest from Juventus and leading English sides but just like the Colombian ace nothing concrete ever saw the light of day.

Kamara is apparently one of the club’s saleable assets, trying their best to drum up interest the Daily Record reports:

Glen Kamara has found game time harder and harder to come by at Rangers over the last 18 months or so. The Finn was a big part of the title winning squad in 2021, but Michael Beale’s return has not seen him restored as a regular starter. Injuries have played their part, but the Gers boss admitted that this summer might be time for a parting of the ways.

Stade Rennes had a £4million bid rejected last January. But the Ligue 1 side are set to return with a similar offer this summer, according to the Mail on Sunday, and the club are unlikely to knock them back a second time.

And unlikely to see the mysterious £4m bid matched.

With no Director of Football and Beale looking into the eyes of potential signings it looks like the important task of selling losers like Kamara, John Lundstram, Borna Barisic, Ben Davies, Antonio Colak and Rabbi Matondo is being neglected.
