Kemar Roofe is the latest source of a major close season boost for Michael Beale.
It seems that the good news is never ending at Ibrox although no new signings have been announced since Celtic appointed Brendan Rodgers as manager.
Roofe made six brief appearances off the bench last season, the last one being at Livingston in February ahead of the Viaplay Cup Final defeat from Celtic.
The former Leeds United and Anderlecht striker is believed to be among the highest earners at the club and is now entering that awkward phase that is the final 12 months of his contract.

With no new signings to report on Football Scotland has come up with:
Kemar Roofe has handed Rangers a major boost by revealing he’s raring to go for pre-season.
The injury-cursed striker made just six appearances for the Ibrox side last season and underwent a hip operation in March in a desperate bid to kickstart his career. Roofe was the club’s top-scorer during their 2020/21 title-winning season but has been plagued by fitness issues over the last couple of years.
But the Jamaican international, 30, could be handed a new lease of life under Michael Beale as he looks to regain peak sharpness and form heading into the 2023/24 campaign.
Roofe has been training hard over the summer, spending time over in Qatar to aid his return, and the striker posted a video on social media working up a sweat and going through some training drills.
Last season Roofe was regularly posting pictures of football boots and egg-timers as he anticipated a return to action. In three seasons at Ibroc the striker has started 27 SPFL matches.
It seems that a crocked player working up a sweat on social media now qualifies as a major boost.
ANOTHER Tota DUD that will be ‘Hailed’ as the NEW Messiah!! The day we sail by their FICTITIOUS 116 Trophies will be Soooo Sweet!
As good as a new signing. ???
They truly as are sad, pathetic bunch of klowns.
Jesus, Brigadoon makes an appearance more often than this clown. I had actually completely forgotten about him until I saw this.
Editor: Ibrox payroll certainly hasn’t forgotten about the former Anderlecht star.
I daresay the physio and medical staff are well acquainted with him too editor!
Ibrox needs a new Roofe.
