July 14 and Captain Tav fires first title warning to Celtic

James Tavernier has issued his first title warning of the season.

The serial loser has witnessed Callum McGregor winning five trebles since he left Wigan in 2015 to join the Warburton Revolution.

After almost every crushing defeat Tav gets in front of the cameras to apologise to the fans and promise that next time it will be very different.

Those qualities earned the full-back a place in the Hall of Fame earlier this year despite winning less medals in eight seasons that Alistair Johnstone has collected in six months.

Tav has watched legends like Ryan Kent, Alfredo Morelos, Scott Arfield and Allan McGregor walk away but is convinced that four free agents, a loan signing and two strikers that were relegated last season can finally halt Celtic’s run of success.

Having failed with all other signing policies it seems that a team of giants that have been personally vetted and viewed by Micky Beale can add to Tav’s medial collection.

It’s obviously a really freshened up team and I can’t wait to see the lads at Ibrox and the away games and just to see how much stronger, fitter and taller we are now – because we’re the land of the giants!

It’s been a really good camp. The facilities are really nice and the food is top level. I think all the boys have been enjoying the food. It’s really good though, it’s quiet and it’s good to be out of the way.

He says the food is good, that will be because they will at least get to taste it now with Morelos gone.

  • George Cairns says:

He will never learn ? the food is good ???

  • Captain Swing says:

“just to see how much stronger, fitter and taller we are now – because we’re the land of the giants!” confirming what we already knew… the, ahem, ‘tactical genius’ that is Ian Beale has taken a leaf straight out of the Jock Wallace book ‘How Tae Beat Thae Tims”…page 1 – ‘Sign A Load Of Big Bruisers’.

    • Clachnacuddin and the Hoops says:

It might just work for them. – it certainly won’t in Europe where despite Hugh Dallas the European referees generally apply the laws of the game something Sevco are not used to ‘suffering’ in Scotland…

But Sevco and others for that matter have been given carte blanch to maim Celtic players with impunity in plain sight for all to see with little or no repercussion –

And it’ll be off the scale next season with the 2024/25 automatic Champions League mega jackpot coming into play so Sevco thuggery with these ‘giants’ will without doubt benefit from ‘giant’ honest mistakes for sure…

Get our own big guys and enforcers in please Brendan and meet these guys head on… Brick for Brick – Boot for Boot – and Bottle for Bottle just like yous supporters would do !!!!

  • Scud Missile says:

There he goes again talking about training camps the best ever, food the best ever but these things never seem to win you trophies.
His line about land of the giants, more like land of the BAWBAGS and LOSERS.

  • John S says:

If by “Giants” he means Over The Hill hammer throwers, well yes but it’s so tiresome to hear the boastful and baseless refrain yet again. It’s always about what they’re going to do, having done little. They’re skint. Might bash their way to 3rd.

  • John Copeland says:

Looks like Tavpen has been tipped the wink from someone that he will be guaranteed more penalties than last season . That’s the type of thing that would fill the losing captain’s heart with confidence .. eah !

  • Clachnacuddin and the Hoops says:

So the food is good – Well give him and his Sevco teammates plenty good food for thought…

Just serve it up by The Treble ! – Yet another one !!!

  • Amcq14 says:

Obviously, means they intend to kick us of the park as they are no use kicking a football. No doubt they are quietly confident in getting away with this. The VAR stats speak for themselves last season.

  • Bill says:

Ah bless his wee cotton socks.

  • Davie says:

Typical of The Rangers, they go for big players to bully the other teams, their 3 tactics of high ball into the box, fall over for a penalty, and bundle opposition into the touchline is how they operate.
The rest of the league then have the match officials including VAR to try overcome, I remember a var decision at Motherwell v The Rangers last season, var tried to chop a Motherwell goal due to a ball boy wearing Motherwell colours.

  • Kevin Dunne says:

Land of the giants !really ,well captain loser ,the bigger they are the harder they fall and FAIL .MON THE HOOPS
