The Daily Record is claiming that Leon Balogun is on his way back to Ibrox.

After starting 15 of QPR’s 46 Championship matches the experienced defender has been released and is on the look out for a club.

Balogun, one of the Lockdown heroes, was mentioned by Cyriel Dessers as an influence on his decision to move from Cremonese to the Micky Beale Revolution.

Moves to sign Jonathan Panzo from Nottingham Forrest and Arsenal’s Auston Trusty have broken down due to the need for transfer fees but it looks like Balogun could soon be signed up.

Connor Goldson and Dujon Sterling are both currently out injured leaving Beale with Ben Davies, John Souttar and Leon King as his defensive options four weeks before his side enters the Third Qualifying Round of the Champions League.

The Record reports:

The Nigerian international was sold on a move to the English Championship last summer by Michael Beale after claiming the Premiership crown and Scottish Cup during his time in Govan – but his is now a free agent after his one-yard deal was not extended by Gareth Ainsworth.

Beale has since left London to take on the number one job at Ibrox and speculation has ramped up that Balogun could reunite with his former boss this summer to bolster the backline.

Claims are circulating that the 35-year-old has already undergone a medical before a return to The Light Blues – and Balogun has already strongly hinted he has unfinished business in Govan. The centre-back has been spotted in the stands taking in Rangers games – and speaking to the Beautiful Game podcast earlier this year Balogun admitted he didn’t want to walk away from the club.

Earlier in the week it was reported that Beale will have to sell before he can make any more signings, so far there has barely been any interest in last season’s losers. Rabbi Matondo, Antonio Colak, Davies and Ridvan Yilmaz are all on long term contracts.

Beale is known to have looked into Balogun’s eyes on a number of occasions.

A player not good enough for the Championship,

who has played for 15 clubs, [yes, fifteen], over the last 16 years,

and is now 35 years old,

…but is available as a freebie signing?

Yes, he’ll do nicely for Beale’s ‘Ibrox Revolution’,

    – or is it the Ibrox Resurrection?

    🙂

Everything in the garden is rosy, players are returning as free agents after being told their services are longer required.
Then we have FANNYS writing in the sevco newspapers today about sevco avoiding a court case with a company that was going to be taking millions from the klub, only for the so called same klub to then end up £50 million better after striking a deal with the company they millions to previously, lol you couldn’t make it up.
Now on FF tonight Bisgrove is the top quality businessman that can turn around a £4 million court case loss into a £50 million profit,so the company chasing sevco for cash end up out of pocket to the tune £50 million to compensate sevco.
Oh here is another BELTER from another at the daily sevco Sillyman is heading back to ibrox on another loan deal.
Lol that is ABSOLUTE classic BIG BENNY stuff from the klan fans on FF and the writers at the daily sevco.
