Brendan Rodgers has made three changes to the Celtic side that lost 6-4 to Yokohama F Marinos for today’s friendly against Gamba Osaka.

Stephen Welsh comes in for Yuki Kobayashi in central defence, David Turnbull replaces Matt O’Riley in midfield with James Forrest taking over from Sead Haksabanovic on the left wing.

After the Yokohama match Rodgers suggested that he would give two sets of players 45 minutes in today’s game.

Despite fronting up yesterday’s media conference Kyogo Furuhashi starts on the bench where Odin Thiago Holm, signed from Valarenga, is listed for the first time.

Celtic will stay on in Japan until Monday before returning home, next Saturday they take on Wolves in Dublin before the final warm up match, at home to Athletic Bilbao on Tuesday August 1.
