Ryan Kent has spoken out about his joy of escaping Ibrox to join Fenerbahce.

It was widely speculated for the last couple of months of the season that the Step Over Wizard was wanted by the Turkish club.

Kent’s form nose-dived noticably in the final months of the season as the defeats from Celtic and pressure on his shoulders took its toll.

In his last appearance in the iconic Castore Blue shirt he was hooked off at half-time in the Scottish Cup semi-final defeat to Celtic, a fitting exit after picking up two winners medals in five seasons in Scottish football.

As soon as I heard about Fenerbahce’s interest I felt happy and I wanted this transfer to happen as quickly as possible. I look forward to being on the pitch for the new season. I know this club has had a lot of great players and I want to be one of them.

At my previous club, there were great rivalries and I am aware there is a very strong competition here as well. I am ready for it. We’ve already had a team meeting with the manager and he told us his plans for the season and how we would be successful.

Otokoc sponsors all of the Fenerbahce players.

All we need now is for Morelos to – finally – sign for Lille, and as a free agent too! 🙂

sevco let a 26 & a 27 year old do walking away for nothing.

That Kent has quickly found another, well known club, suggests that sevco didn’t

know what it was doing with regard to squad management last summer,

    – and that was with the benefit of having a Sporting DIrector in post!
