After a summer of social media teasing it seems like Tete won’t be reunited with Brendan Rodgers, opting for the Tirkish lira of Fenerbahce instead.
There has never been any direct link other than the old lazy game of connecting his loan spell with Leicester last season leading further north to Celtic.
Today it was confirmed that the Brazilian winger was a free agent which leaves him free to negotiate as a signing on fee the transfer fee that Shakhtar Donetsk were counting on.

Some had Tete down as Jota’s replacement but as a free agent his pay demands would swamp the highest earners in the Celtic dressing room.
It seems that Turkish clubs have a built in tracking devise for Celtic signing targets with interest quoted in Maik Nawrocki and Dominik Livakovic, Tete however seems destined, finally for Fena.
