Over the last month sd23 on Kerrydale Street has caught the attention of long established members on the popular Message-Board.

Most newcomers are greeted with suspicion, especially when they arrive with some big claims but sd23 has provided a very solid insight into the events since it became clear that Ange Postecoglou was leaving the club.

A month ago you could have had 100/1 on Brendan Rodgers taking pre-season training on Monday but yer man sd23 never had any doubts about the Irishman returning to the club even if the week before the announcement seemed to drag on aimlessly.

Rodgers’ return came with the guarantee of funds from Dermot Desmond with a new low profile CEO and Recruitment Team to get things done.

With Jota’s sale to Al Ittihad likely to bring in more than £15m there is a real expectation among fans that some serious transfer business is about to get underway.

Odsonne Edouard at £9m and Chris Jullien at £7m are the most expensive signings that Celtic have made, those deals could well be matched or exceeded before the end of August.

Should we not be looking for at least £30 million for Jota given who we are trading with. As far as the player is concerned it is a win win. In two years time, he will be £20 million richer and still only 26 with time enough to play in Europe again perhaps with Benfica.
    Sad but I mean…

Agreed Jota is only one year into his deal, if these corrupt Saudi bassas want him that bad they can pay through the nose for him. However I won’t be surprised if our weak-ass board let themselves be ragdolled into letting him go for £12m or some other such chump change amount…

That’s exactly what I am worried about. The media are desperate to cap it a £25m as if they know anything and now there is supposed to be another club joining the bidding.
        The sky’s the limit.
