A VAR assisted win over Morton did nothing to convince angry bears that Micky Beale’s Revolution is on the right tracks.

At Morton’s second clear penalty claim David Dickinson reluctantly agreed to review Cyriel Dessers foul on Kirk Broadfoot. With the correct decision given Grant Gillespie scored from 12 yards to put the Championship strugglers in front.

On the hour mark eagle-eyed VAR David Munro helped Wilkinson out by picking up on a jersey pull by Broadfoot on Leon Balogun. It happens at almost every corner kick but in this case Dickinson pointed to the spot with Dessers equalising.

In the 68th minute Danilo put the home side in front but given half an hour against tiring lower division opponents there were no more goals for the home fans to celebrate.

Morton were only able to name four substitutes, one of them former Celtic keeper Ryan Mullen but it was Dougie Imrie’s side that finished the match looking the most likely to score.

There are some pretty serious doubts among Ibrox fans over whethere there is any improvement or even any difference to the dire football that Beale served up last season.

If there are any slip ups over the next four matches ( PSV Eindhoven, Ross County, PSV and Celtic) Beale will start to feel the pressure of boardroom expectations.

For now it looks like his Champions League hopes are dependent on miracles from Todd Cantwell and James Tavernier.

What a perfect opportunity for Morton boss ,Dougie Imrie to stand up and be counted and vent his spleen at the obvious favouritism to one clumpany by referees and VAR officials over every other club playing in the Scottish leagues today and every season ? Someone has to take the flak and threats to life and limbs because the weekly incompetence by our games officials is getting near boiling point ….enough is enough ! Don’t expect any sympathy from the SMSM as their livelihood depends on good results in downtown Govan . No, it’s going to take someone of the statute of a club manager to stand on the wooden box and tell it like it is …. Bent and corrupt ! Blind Lemon Jefferson would have been disgusted at the weekly scams by our disgraceful adjudicators !

I don’t think that would be a remit in Dougie Imrie’s job specification!

  • Bob (original) says:

Watched all 5 sevco games so far, and there is no – significantly – discernible,

improvement in the players’ attitudes, energy levels – or tactics.

Cantwell, Raskin, Butland and Danilo do look like players… surrounded by inferior,

low in confidence team mates? And a rookie manager short on ideas?

VAR can only help sevco so much over a whole season.

Meantime, all that the Ibrox PR can do is generate inane, deflective stories

to buy Beale and his players some breathing space…?

  • harold shand says:

Screaming about fixtures 6 games into a season , moaning about having to play fckin Morton at home before a CL play off

And the laptop loyal are backing him to the hilt on it

  • Clachnacuddin and the Hoops says:

So more cheating in favour of Sevco by the officials then… Thank goodness that I no longer pay good cash towards rigged competitions involving top flight clubs – Looking like one of the best decisions that I’ve taken…

At least ‘honest mistakes’ in The Highland League are ‘probably’ honest ones –

Mind you Brora Rangers play there so who knows…

But at least they TRULY ARE Brora Rangers and not Brora Sevco !

  • Tony B says:

They are SHITE. Errr, that’s it.
